ISO9001 CERTIFICATION OF THE EPO EXTENDED TO PATENT INFORMATION AND POST-GRANT ACTIVITIES.
1. In December 2014, the EPO achieved the certification according to ISO9001 of its patent granting process. The patent granting process includes search, examination, opposition, limitation and revocation stages.
2. The patent information and post grant activities were not yet certified according to ISO9001. These activities include EP publication, EP Register and Bulletin as well as Post-grant fee handling.

Another milestone in the EPO’s continuous effort towards measurable quality has therefore been reached.
