Cyrille Amar was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2000 after working as in-house counsel, in particular as General Counsel of the mobile telephone division of the Philips group.
He is Managing Partner at LAVOIX Avocats, the specialised Intellectual Property law firm which he cofounded in 2003.
On the litigation side, he handles infringement and invalidity cases relating to patents, trademarks, designs and models, as well as disputes relating to contracts such as licencing, development, distribution and IT agreements. He represents clients before the French and EU courts and is involved in significant arbitration proceedings, in particular relating to FRAND licences.
On the advisory side, he has gained extensive experience of international negotiations, international business law and telecommunications law from his industry background. He frequently advises on negotiating and drafting contracts, especially in the telecommunications and new technologies sector of which he has developed extensive knowledge.
