
Gérard MYON
Gérard MYON joined LAVOIX in 1995 after working at the European Patent Office as an examiner and for a French company specialized in equipment used to apply coating products, in an Industrial Property management position. He has been a partner at LAVOIX since 2000 and a member of the Executive Committee since 2002. Gérard was appointed Managing Director responsible for patent activity in October 2009 and currently runs the LAVOIX office in Lyon.

Professional Experience
Gérard primarily assists major industrial groups in developing their patent portfolios, and defining and implementing their protection strategies.
He has solid expertise in various mechanical and electrical fields, in particular related to shed formation on looms, electrical and mechanical connectors, electrostatic spraying systems, electric motors, special machines, robots and command systems for this equipment, for the activities that cover the acquisition of rights and disputes.
Gérard MYON regularly participates in oral proceedings before the Opposition Divisions and Boards of Appeal of the European Patent Office. He handles may patent infringement cases before the French courts, including with infringement seizure measures, and before several foreign courts. He is active at the Centre Paul Roubier, research and training entity for industrial property law and strategy.
