The French Firm LAVOIX ranks n°1 in France and n°2 in Europe in International Patent Filings
In its issue released today, Managing Intellectual Property magazine ranked LAVOIX, the top inter-professional firm fully dedicated to IP in France, second in Europe in PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) filings for the second consecutive year. In addition, the firm ranks N°1 in France for the fifth consecutive year.
Over the past five years, the number of international PCT patent requests filed by LAVOIX has risen constantly. At the European level, LAVOIX held onto second place, with 399 international PCT patent filings in 2013, vs. 366 the previous year. LAVOIX is a key player in intellectual property, and this trend clearly demonstrates its increasing foothold, particularly in the European market.
2014 was also the year in which LAVOIX confirmed its leadership in France, as it held onto its N°1 position.
Philippe Blot, a Partner at LAVOIX, said: “International patent filings are key to the development strategies of companies that are looking to expand. Not only do they help ensure exclusiveness of the relevant innovation, by keeping competitors from exploiting it outside the country where it was developed, they also offer the company and its technologies significant visibility beyond its borders. We are pleased to avail our customers of our knowledge and know-how in this area. This latest recognition strengthens our desire to constantly meet and exceed our clients’ needs and expectations.”
This annual ranking is by Managing Intellectual Property, an authoritative international magazine in the field of intellectual property, based on data provided by the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO).
With multiple offices in France, including Paris, Lyon, Toulouse, Rennes, Lille and Grenoble, supplemented by a local presence in Munich, Germany, LAVOIX is one of the top intellectual property (IP) firms in Europe. With close to 200 IP professionals, including 80 attorneys-at-law, IP attorneys, technology specialists and lawyers, LAVOIX covers all types of IP law (patents, trademarks, designs, copyrights and domain names) across all economic and technical sectors.
