As you know, the number of reserved domain names is constantly increasing, in particular thanks to the many new top-level domains launched every month.

The most impressive launch was that of .XYZ: its Sunrise period started on 20 March 2015 and more than 1,159,000 domain names had been reserved by 28 September!

This growing popularity is no doubt attributable to Google, whose parent company was renamed Alphabet and who reserved the <<abc.xyz>> domain name, creating quite a buzz about this extension.

The other two most reserved domain names are .TOP (over 490,500 reservations) and .网址 (Chinese website), with over 372,700 reservations.
