After several experiences in the industry, in particular abroad for a company specialized in the manufacture of boats and then in France with a large group specialized in railroad transport, Romain TOUCAS was drawn to the diversity of the activity sectors addressed by the patent attorneys. After working for two years as a patent engineer in an industrial property firm, Romain TOUCAS joined Lavoix in 2015 and became a partner of Lavoix in 2022.

With an engineering degree (ECAM Lyon, France), Romain TOUCAS has a true expertise in mechanical and electrical engineering, which he provides to the clients of LAVOIX for the development and defense of their patent portfolio.
Romain TOUCAS works for both large global groups and SMEs to assist them with their IP strategy. He drafts and monitors patent applications in France and abroad. Romain TOUCAS is regularly involved in opposition proceedings before the European Patent Office and the Boards of Appeal. Romain TOUCAS is also in charge of conducting patentability, validity, freedom to operate and infringement studies. Romain TOUCAS assists the clients of Lavoix with their patent litigation issues.
